Dear Colleagues, Feel like you need to know more about the Dual Language Program? Don't have the time to come together with others after school? Here is a great opportunity for you. Join the Dual Language Essentials Collegial Study on BB9. The study is entirely online and self paced, and will prepare learners to understand the theory behind Dual Language, practices that are essential for effective implementation, and the shifts needed to create a culture of conscientious consumers amongst our parent groups. The collegial study can be accessed by searching the word "Essentials" in the browse box on BB9 or through this link: Lin15_DualLanguageEssentials This course is intended to reach ALL staff working at Dual Language Schools, coordinators, ECs and other district leaders, but is open to anyone who is interested in exploring what it take to create and grow the program. The Course is comprised of 11 topics, where Essential Questions, Linked readings and discussion posts comprise the learning experience. The Course requires 4 different texts, 3 are linked into the syllabus, and one is a text that is available in the Bilingual Office/or at Dual Language Schools (Text: Dual Language A-Z). The topics are specifically organized to support action planning through the discussion posts. Participants may join any time! All participants will need to click the link in the course to obtain the Carroll U audit or Credit for the course. The Course is a 2 Credit University Level Course.
